                              "Panthère marchant" de Barye
                               
Alfred Barye est le créateur de la «Panthère marchant» signée et datée 1831. Ce bas-relief en bronze est une édition posthume de la fin du XIXème siècle sur un support rectangulaire et chanfreiné, en marbre rouge griotte. Patine d’origine médaille comportant de légères oxydations, restaurations sur la base en marbre. Antoine Louis Barye 1795/1875 fut indiscutablement le plus grand sculpteur animalier de son époque, cette maîtrise sera récompensée par de nombreux prix lors des salons et des grandes expositions, d’importantes commandes officielles lui seront confiées, tant en France qu’aux Etats-Unis.

Alfred Barye is the creator of the "Walking Panther" signed and dated 1831. This bronze bas-relief is a posthumous edition of the late nineteenth century on a rectangular and chamfered support, in cherry red marble. Patina of original medal with slight oxidations, restorations on the marble base. Antoine Louis Barye 1795/1875 was indisputably the greatest animal sculptor of his time, this mastery will be rewarded with many prizes at fairs and major exhibitions, important official commissions will be entrusted to him, both in France and in the United States.

                                Le Conducteur de char romain  
                                   
                                     Statue équestre de caractère, en bronze à patine verte nuancée, d’époque début du XXème, connue sous le titre « Le conducteur de char romain »  signature FREMIET sur la terrasse. Emmanuel FREMIET né en 1824, un grand sculpteur français célèbre pour ses sujets animaliers, membre de l’Académie des Beaux-Arts reconnu par de nombreuses distinctions, ses statues monumentales ornent les plus hauts lieux français.

A characterful equestrian statue, bronze with a nuanced green patina, from the early 20th century, known as "The roman chariot driver" signature FREMIET on the terrace. Good condition.  Emmanuel FREMIET born in 1824, a great French sculptor famous for his animal subjects, member of the Academy of Fine Arts recognized by numerous distinctions, his monumental statues adorn the highest Places of France.

Sculpture en terre cuite reproduisant un singe intéressé par un escargot. Signé E. FREMIET : Emmanuel Frémiet Paris 1824/1910, sculpteur  actif vers la fin du XIXème siècle, célèbre pour la représentation des grands personnages de l’Histoire, ses sujets animaliers et groupes équestres. Signature sur le socle et plaque laiton : E.FREMIET  en incrustation. Bel état général selon son ancienneté, légers manques de patine visibles sur les photos, aucune restauration.

                                              Ours  savant

                                

Représentation d’un ours savant, portant un large coffret et tendant son chapeau. Bronze à double patine argentée et or, d’époque fin du XIXème siècle, sur un socle en marbre noir mouluré. Sujet original dont la fonction se rapporte très probablement  à l’univers du tabac.  Signé sur la base : ANQUETIN, quelques œuvres de ce sculpteur animalier apparaissent en vente.  Belle ciselure, légères brèches sur le socle, usure sur la dorure. Hauteur du bronze sans la base en marbre : 12 cm.

Representation of a learned bear, carrying a large cabinet and tending his hat. Bronze with double silver patina and gold, from the end of the nineteenth century, on a pedestal in black marble moulted. Original subject whose function most probably relates to the world of tobacco.  Signed on the basis: ANQUETIN, some works of this animal sculptor appear for sale.  Beautiful chisel, slight breccia on the base, wear on the gilding. Ours en bronze désigné "ours mendiant " signé G GARDET  (Georges Gardet 1863/1939) la patine brune est d’origine, le socle est en marbre vert veiné et mouluré, époque 1900 /début du XXème, la hauteur indiquée inclut le socle.
